Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
To God Be the Glory for the things HE has done!
Through the ages, Almighty God has moved his people to build houses of prayer and praise, and to set apart places for the ministry of his holy word and sacraments. With gratitude to God for our founding mother, Elizabeth Hunt, the Episcopalian Diocese of New York, the presiding Bishops, priests and congregants, we now gather to celebrate the 180th Anniversary of our parish consecration in service to God and Community. We are humbled to share their commitment and dedication to the purpose of God and we stand ready to carry on the mission of service by God’s grace, mercy, divine guidance and incessant provision.
We humbly express our gratitude to each one of you for your loyalty and continued support in our ministry. To our members and friends who donated willingly to the production cost for the banner in celebration of our 180th Anniversary - THANK YOU!
Now, O my God, I pray, let Your eyes be open and Your ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place. "Now therefore arise, O LORD God, to Your resting place, You and the ark of Your might; let Your priests, O LORD God, be clothed with salvation and let Your godly ones rejoice in what is good.… (2 Chronicles 6: 40 & 41-NIV)
We pray that as we celebrate this year the Lord will continue to send his blessings on all of us. As Christians, we ought always to thank God for the gifts he has bestowed upon us. We pray also that our youth will look on and observe the benefits we have been given in our time and aspire to increase, protect and preserve them with dedication, commitment and hard work. Bless and encourage the members and volunteers who serve in Our Lord’s Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry each week. Their commitment is a testament to their faith and dedication to the community and our ministry.
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all thy ways, acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord and depart from all evil. (Proverbs 3:5-7-KJV)
Have a blessed day in the Lord, and in all things, give thanks!
